I can’t believe it. This girl is a fiance. I honestly, never thought I would get married… In reality, I jumped around from boyfriend to boyfriend in my early 20’s. I didn’t have my first kiss until 18 and my first ‘love’ (what I thought was love) until I was 21. But it was all (and still is) a distant memory and frankly, forgotten, the moment I meant Spencer. This surprise flower wall proposal engagement was absolutely breath-taking. Spencer handcrafted this wall with his brothers and it was incredible!
By the way, if you’re new here… You can read our backstory // lovestory here!
My Flower Wall Proposal Engagement Inspo
I always hinted that I wanted a big proposal with my whole family and close friends there to see. I had no idea he would make that happen! Sadly, COVID prevented us from inviting everyone… but there is a video coming soon, so my friends can feel like they were there too. Anyways, let’s get to the BIG DAY!
Proposal Day: The Beginning
The day started out with a blogger picnic (photos coming soon) with some of my best gal pals. Then my besties Nicolette (@heyniclovin – bestie / owner of Fringe with Benefits), Jenn (@jennxbradley – sweetest bestie), Carlos (@carlosbradley – master chef and photographer), Emily (@emilykimphoto – bestie and photographer), and Christine (@christineueberrhein – my soul sista and wild child) took me to the park I grew up at for a photoshoot for a “flower wall company”. I do shoots all the time for new businesses so this is extremely believable. I mean, I can’t say no to cute content for the gram, right? Little did I know… Spencer had made the flower wall proposal himself, there was no company AT ALL.

We started shooting our first outfits and let me tell you, the photos are SO DARN CUTE.
Go-Time for the Flower Wall Proposal
When it was time for our outfit change, Nicolette brought me into the changing tent and helped me get dressed. She also got into a new outfit, and we were gossiping the whole time… while Christine and Jenn made cute girly noises as they were taking photos (it all makes sense now). Little did I know, there was a mad scramble to get about 20 people from behind trees and a flurry of Spencer’s brothers setting up the sign.

The Moment of Truth
As I exited the changing tent, I saw my friends and family standing around me. I honestly thought I died and I was seeing everyone I loved. It was eerie. I turned towards the flower wall… and there he was. There were now lights on it, that said MARRY ME. I said “hi everyone”, and everyone laughed and said “hi”. There was lots of shaking and crying and frankly, I think I blacked out. I was in love with how he created the flower wall proposal engagement.

Then, I started walking towards him and when I got there he said a few things (sorry, that’s a secret), and he got down on one knee. He opened the ring box, and it was the most beautiful ring. Of course, I said yes. Everyone clapped and cheered and my heart was so full. SO FULL. It was a dream.

Since it was at our local park… Spencer’s three brothers brought out food and wine and served everyone. They are the best. We all chatted and yes, kept our distance. It was magical. I can’t say it enough. Magic happened that day. After, a small group of us went to dinner in my hometown and had a five course dinner that I will also never forget. Gosh, I wish you were all there to see this. It was perfect. It was my dream engagement. <3
