The day kicked off with a blogger picnic alongside some of my closest girlfriends. Afterward, my besties Nicolette, Jenn, Carlos, Emily, and Christine brought me to the park where I grew up for a photoshoot with a “flower wall company.” Since I do photoshoots for new businesses all the time, this seemed totally believable—after all, I can’t say no to creating cute content for the gram, right? Little did I know, Spencer had planned the best flower wall proposal for our engagement.

When it was time to change outfits, Nicolette took me into the changing tent and helped me get ready. She even changed into a new outfit herself, and we spent the whole time gossiping like usual. Meanwhile, Christine and Jenn were making cute, excited noises while snapping photos. What I didn’t realize was that behind the scenes, there was a frantic rush to gather about 20 people hiding behind trees. Spencer’s brothers were busy setting up the sign on what would be the most stunning flower wall proposal engagement and inspiration.
The Moment of Truth
As I stepped out of the changing tent, I was completely shocked to see my friends and family gathered around me. For a second, I thought I had passed away and was seeing everyone I loved—it was surreal! Then, I turned toward the flower wall. The lights were now on, and they spelled out MARRY ME. I nervously greeted everyone with a “hi,” and they all laughed, responding back with “hi.” There were a lot of tears, shaking, and honestly, I think I might have blacked out for a moment. But I was overwhelmed with joy. He had created the most beautiful flower wall proposal and engagement, just like I had always dreamed of.
I began walking toward him. Then, he got down on one knee and opened the ring box, revealing the most beautiful ring I had ever seen. Without hesitation, I said yes! The crowd erupted into cheers and applause, and my heart felt like it could burst—it was so full of love. It truly felt like a dream come true.
Since our engagement took place at our local park, Spencer’s three brothers stepped in and brought out food and wine. We all enjoyed the moment together, chatting and keeping our distance as needed. The entire experience felt magical—honestly, magic filled the air that day. Afterward, a small group of us went out for a memorable five-course dinner in my hometown, an evening I’ll cherish forever.
