So, if you’re like me and want to keep your budget low (and manageable), you can purchase pre-coded templates that look fabulous! My template is from 17th Avenue, which carries a wide range of feminine, functional, and fabulous templates for bloggers, under $100!
My favorite thing about them? Their support team, which seems to be available 24/7, as well as their in-depth coding manuals to tweak parts of the template that don’t work for you. Remember, your site should be appealing to the eye, but also functional!
I also absolutely LOVE Elegant Themes, they have a wider variety of templates for both male and female audiences!
Once you have your template, it’s time to input all your content, choose your logo, select your font, all the good stuff to make it come together. Create your main navigation menu, footer menu, and sidebar.
Some of my favorite WordPress plug-ins are the MetaSlider (which allows for the slider on my homepage). Don’t rush this step, it needs to be as perfect as possible before it goes live. Yep, don’t press live just yet!
